Teaching Experience:
Burlington High School, Burlington, MA                                                    September 2016 to present

Currently teaching Chorus, Select Chorus, Musical Theatre, and Guitar, Voice, and Piano lessons.  Assumed this position after a challenging few years.  Diligently working to rebuild strong musicianship skills and social bonds within the vocal program.


North Medford High School, Medford, OR                                                September 2008 to 2016
Taught four choirs of 9th-12th graders.  Choirs included Women’s Choir, Men’s Choir, and auditioned mixed ensembles and chamber/a cappella ensembles. Initiated the Men’s Choir which led to the growth and development of the young men within the program.  Increased the NMHS Choral Music participation over 40%; including a 300% increase (20 to 70) in the Women’s Choir and 40% increase in flagship Concert Choir.  Initiated a guitar program, and taught an Intro to the Guitar class.  Served on a district-level committee facilitating the implementation of standards-based proficiency grading.  Designed and conducted many workshops to aid implementation for all subject areas.

Hoover, Roosevelt, & Griffin Creek Elementary Schools, Medford, OR    September 07 to June 08
Taught 38 classes of general music and chorus, grades K-6.

Quabbin Regional High School, Barre, MA                                                 September 04 to June 07

aught six choirs of 7th-12th graders.  Choirs include three mixed groups, and three Women’s Choirs.  Also involved in planning and organizing festivals, fundraising events, and approximately twenty-five performances per year.

Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Acton, MA                          September 02 to June 04
Taught six choirs of 7th-12th graders.  Choirs include large mixed groups, a Women’s Ensemble, and a select Madrigal Choir.  Also taught high school music theory and guitar classes.

Blanchard Memorial Elementary School,  Boxborough, MA               September 1999 to June 2002
Taught K-6 general music and a 115-member junior chorus of 4th-6th grade students.  Also involved in planning, directing, and rehearsing musicals and assemblies.  Received professional teaching status in two years.

Fox Hill Elementary School,  Burlington, MA                                       September 1998 to June 1999
Completed one-year appointment as 2-5th grade general music teacher, and directed choral/theater group of 130 students.

ACDA Gold Medal Award for high scores in choral performance
Gold medal performances at MICCA.  Platinum medal performances at Great East Festival
Member of Phi Kappa Lambda Music Honors Society

Recipient of the Presser Foundation Award for Music Education given yearly to outstanding music education student at the Oberlin Conservatory
